The idea of living a routine life with fixed working hours and enjoying on weekends — is done and dusted. Ever since Covid happened, many elite companies have changed their way of working. Making employees come on alternate days, cutting-out on working hours and even shutting down physical workspace for a complete remote work.

And to be honest, I am impressed and would strongly support this mainstream new routine.

Why?

More Pros!!

  1. Work from home
  2. You have freedom
  3. Your own Work schedule
  4. More Family time
  5. More Focus and Better Result

It has been researched that 9–5 doesn’t guarantee efficiency, productivity and better results. In fact, employee satisfaction went up during Remote work hours.

Also, I recently checked out a report on Google and it literally said:

More and more millenials and Gen-Z are keen to work flexible.

Work flexibility/Remote Work is becoming more popular. It has been giving better results in terms of productivity, efficiency and employees satisfaction.

Employees are allowed to work on their own terms, at their own pace and thus, they give effective results and overall better performance.

What I like the most about this new culture is that it has enabled people to practice Work-Life balance.

You can do work and give time to your family — all things together. You know, A typical Win-Win situation.

But let’s not forget, it might not work for everyone. Still in different parts of the world, many still prefer 9–5 and that’s their choice.
